Alicia Witt was a musician right from the beginning of her screen career, even if she's better than a musician, singer or pianist. After working mainly as piano player, she came out with an eponymous EP in 2009 in which she showcased her obvious debt to the likes of Elton John and Billy Joel with a powerful vocal range to go with it. Revisionary History by Ben Folds is her first album of her studio work from 2015 was made available. It was followed by a series of albums like 2021's The Conduit, which marked her debut as co-producer. Alicia Witt appeared in the 1984 David Lynch adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune as Alia Atreides. While she was just 10 in 1984 and it's not surprising that she got pigeonholed for acting as an actor, singing, despite playing piano from the time when she started acting. While she appeared on screen more but her profession as a musician did not begin until 1995.
