Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American sportscaster. She is an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation occasionally. Since 2016, Collins has was a part of ESPN. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual since nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to be a part of the production team for National programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later recruited to the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. In 2009, the reporter moved to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. She would also fill in at times as a news and sport anchor. Then she anchor and wrote on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she was very aware of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the degree she wanted. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and enrolled into media school at the college. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked for many years, became her friend. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
